Imagination for a break from ‘real life’

I was reminded this week of imagination as a life and professional skill. In a recent session, attendees spoke of how giving themselves permission to dream had granted them a break from the stresses of ‘real’ life. Only a temporary break, of course, but they returned to their everyday concerns refreshed, open to new perspectives and with a recognition that they had, within them, an exceptional skill.

Imagination to build resilience, optimism, hope and a greater confidence to recognise and then, explore new possibilities. A pathway, too, to laughter and an enjoyment of life.
